Skin tightening is a fat dissolving injection treatment that reduces the number of fat cells in the face area whilst tightening the skin at the same time.
By eliminating a surplus of subcutaneous fat, skin rejuvenation and lifting occur simultaneously, which prevents sagging and the appearance of folds and wrinkles. The effects are driven by natural lipolysis. How does it work?
Lipolytic phosphatidylcholine(PPC) carries out direct lipolysis: penetrating into the fat cell, the component converts subcutaneous fat into a liquid emulsion, after the emulsification process has occurred, enzymes are excreted from the body through the blood, kidneys or liver.

Am I Suitable?
As long as you are generally healthy and don’t have any skin diseases or infections in the area treated, there are few medical reasons why you should not undergo this treatment. However, our skin tightening treatment is not recommended for women who are pregnant or breast feeding.
It is also not recommended for those people who have been diagnosed with lipodystrophy or any pathological conditions.
Aftercare
Do not apply any cosmetics onto the treated area within a 12-hour period and avoid all direct sources of heat and radiation (sunlight, UV-radiation, sauna etc.)
Furthermore, you should abstain from particularly demanding physical exercise for 7 days. As the released fatty acids are converted into additional energy, it is especially important that you keep a strict and healthy diet, otherwise your body will simply store the fat in an alternative fat depot.

The results of this treatment can be permanent as long as the patient is maintaining a constant weight measurement (i.e. assuming you do not gain weight, eat healthy and exercise regularly). It is also important to remember as we continue to age our skin tone and texture will continue to lose volume and collagen. Therefore within time, repeat treatment may be needed.
After a pre-treatment consultation, the area of concern will be marked out. A number of injections will be administered to make sure the area is fully covered.
A reduction in fat in the targeted area can be noted a number of weeks post-treatment. The speed at which noticeable results are seen will vary depending on the stability of the cell membranes; younger clients are more likely to see results after a longer period. In very small fat pads, the desired results can already be seen after one treatment. The skin will look smoother, tighter and lifted.
As this is a non-surgical solution it means there are no general anaesthetic risks. As there are no incisions and stitches are not required, scarring is therefore very unlikely. People treated will typically experience minimal side effects when compared to more invasive procedures, such as liposuction.
There are some temporary side effects which may include bruising, swelling, redness and irritation in the injection area. The treated area may feel slightly tender to touch, numb or itchy but these side effects usually subside after 1-3 days but may last up to 4 weeks. The manufacturers report that to date no major side effects have been reported to them.
